The Benefits of a Classical Curriculum

Truth, beauty, and goodness are all interconnected, and so is our approach to every subject area. Classes are therefore integrated with each other. For example, we study how history influences art; how math intersects with nature; how philosophy and theology can be applied.

  • Humanities

    Literature, history, philosophy, theology, and languages at Martin Saints tell the story of our civilization. We progress from ancient times, through the middles ages and the Renaissance, to today. Seminar-style classes emphasize discussion and writing. Students emerge with a cohesive understanding of truth and culture.

  • Math & the Sciences

    STEM studies God’s creation, so we begin with astronomy and Euclidean geometry, inspiring awe and wonder. From there, students grow and study algebra, statistics, and calculus, as well as biology, chemistry, and physics. The result is a comprehensive, integrated view of the world.

  • The Fine Arts

    Every student is mentored in music and studio art, as well as drama and art history. Every student sings in the choir and learns music theory. Painting, drawing, and other media cultivate the heart and the eye, deepening our sense for beauty and order.

  • Craftsmanship

    Our hands and spirits can achieve great things. Martin Saints students complete a four-year cycle of carpentry, woodworking, metal working, and fiber arts, for both broad exposure and depth. They learn to cook for pleasure and service. Students practice honest labor and creativity, away from screens.

  • Frassati Fridays

    Under the patronage of Saint Pier Giorgio Frassati  — an avid outdoorsman, servant of the poor, and patron of the arts — we organize ten excursions each year, taking students into society and creation. Frassati Fridays include outdoor adventures like hiking and canoeing, works of mercy and service, and cultural experiences like concerts and galleries.

Body and soul are fully alive at Martin Saints. Students dive into athletics, extracurriculars, and friendships with vigor. Student life is built around the House system, source of lively clubs and a range of other activities. The Martin Saints Griffins compete in fall, winter and spring sports as part of the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) as well as the Penn-Jersey Athletic Association (PJAA).

As a Chesterton Academy, Martin Saints is committed to keeping an excellent education affordable.

For 2026-2027, the maximum tuition is $15,000 per annum — with financial aid, scholarships, and multi-student discounts available.

We are also committed to finding transportation solutions for your family. Whether it’s a local district bus, shuttling, SEPTA vouchers, or friendly carpooling, every student has a path to Martin Saints.

  • Martin Saints is a fully Catholic school, operating in communion with, and the support of, our Archbishop. You’ll find that deacons, priests, and bishops from our Philly Archdiocese are regular guests, leading us in worship and on retreats. However, we are a private, independent school, not formally part of the Archdiocesan system.
