Mr. Austin Detwiler, MA
Austin Detwiler received a master’s degree in theology from Villanova University after finishing his bachelor’s at the Templeton Honors College at Eastern University. He works for American Philanthopic, a national strategic consulting firm for nonprofit organizations. Prior to joining American Philanthropic Austin was the Assistant Director of the Matthew J. Ryan Center at Villanova and an adjunct professor in Villanova’s Augustine and Culture Seminar Program. Along with his wife, Cassie, Austin is committed to fostering a community of engaged and informed Catholics who are able to serve as witnesses of the Gospel in their local communities. He is deeply committed to education and the task of introducing students to the rich and beautiful kingdom of literature, history, and philosophy – an introduction he was lucky to receive in his college years. In addition to his work with MSC and AmPhil, Austin serves on the Board of Directors at the Charlotte Mason Educational Center and as a director of the Philadelphia Catholic Scholars Program.
